Purpose

The purpose of the Stiki Human Resources Policy is to join together the interests and goals of employees, shareholders and clients for quality and professional work.

Scope

This Human Resources Policy applies to all employees of Stiki.

Goals

The Human Resources Policy is intended to encourage both employees and the management to create a professional, family-oriented and challenging working environment. Working conditions must be as beneficial as possible to enable employees to grow and flourish in their work.

Ways to achieve goals

Stiki's paths to achieve the above goals are as follows:

a.  Vision for the future

Employees, together with the company’s management, should actively participate in developing Stiki’s vision for the future. Our vision is clear; it is based on sound foundations and shaped by a strong will to succeed.

b.  Human resources

Stiki’s human resources are the company’s most precious resource. We make every effort to recruit exemplary professionals to work with us.

c.  Knowledge and professional work practices

At Stiki, we strive for knowledge development and professional work practices. We provide consulting services and develop international software solutions for Icelandic and overseas markets. Our clients come from all sectors of the economy. They are highly discerning, and we make every effort to ensure that honesty and trust are the cornerstones of our relationships.

d.  Equality

We join hands in ensuring equality, and we are proud of the fact that gender proportions in the company are equal.

e.  Working environment

We strive for a creative working environment where professional ambition, co-operation and team spirit prevail. We make every effort to create the most advantageous working conditions for our employees so that they may grow and prosper in their work, and we endeavour to support their initiatives as far as possible.

f.   Projects

Our projects are international and involve, among other things, the design, development and operation of complex IT systems based on modern technology, information security and quality. International requirements are kept in the forefront, and we meet them by utilising international standards as appropriate.

g.  Good salaries

We take care to reward out employees with good salaries that are competitive on the market, in accordance with results and work responsibility. Staff interviews take place on a regular basis, when the employee and his superior review all aspects of the work together. Salary interviews take place annually, or more often if necessary.

h.  Career development and continuing education

Stiki is of the opinion that maintaining and strengthening professional knowledge is extremely important. Therefore, the continuing education of its staff is a normal and essential part of Stiki’s operation and employees regularly attend conferences and seminars, both in Iceland and abroad. Stiki employees are active participants in professional groups and social activities, both within professional associations and interest groups, and they regularly hold talks at professional conferences.

i.    Working hours and environment

We offer a flexible work environment. This includes flexible working hours, remote connections and the option of teleworking.

j.    Health

Stiki encourages its staff to participate in physical exercise and supports their participation in sports with annual sports grants.

k.  Social life

The staff association Vector organises various events both during work hours and after work, such as theatre trips, annual parties and Christmas parties. Spouses are always welcome and, during the summer, Stiki employees enjoy time together with their families, hold barbeques and generally have a great time.

l.    Interests

Stiki employs a range of specialists, in both technology and business. We are highly involved in our work and specialities and practice professionalism in every thing we do. We also allow time for other interests and are involved, among other things, in music, dance, fly-fishing, mountaineering, skiing, cycling, golf, computer games, football, photography and much more.

Responsibility

The Board of Directors of Stiki is responsible for this Human Resources Policy and reviews it regularly. The CEO is responsible for its implementation.

Review

This Policy shall be reviewed annually, or more frequently if required, to ensure its conformity with the objectives of Stiki's operations.

Approval

Upon the approval of this present Human Resources Policy, the Human Resources Policy approved by Stiki's Board of Directors on 6 May 2009 shall terminate.
