Svana Helen Björnsdóttir, CEO of Stiki recently received international rewards for good performance in export planning. The rewards were on behalf of International Trade Management (ITM) which is a project supported by export councils of several European Countries and EU. Svana Helen was nominated together with seven other individuals from other countries who were all considered having demonstrated successful operations in export of goods or services from their countries.

Svana got the rewards for having applied the knowledge from various courses run by ITM in a successful way for building up export within Stiki, thus being a role mode for other entrepreneurs. The reward ceremony was held at INSEAD business school in Fontainbleau in France. Stiki has been supported by the Trade Council of Iceland for the last years. In 2004 Stiki participated in a project Export and Economic Growth which is a project run by the Council to support Icelandic companies in their first steps of export. Since then the company has participated in an international ITM-project and UTSTIM-project which has supported Stiki in its marketing activities in UK and Germany. "It is an honor for me to receive this reward,
specially since I was chosen from a group of seven other very strong candidates" says Svana Helen.

"Stiki has for some years now, strategically aimed at export of the company's special knowledge in the field of Information Security, software design and service to the health care sector," says Svana Helen.

The rewards ceremony at INSEAD was held following an ITM seminar on export issues. Among speakers at the ceremony were Dr, Albert A. Anghern professor in Information Technology at INSEAD, Dr. Per V.
